<br />RESOLUTION NO. 05-1559 <br /> <br />NIt' ÆdýµÞ <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN <br />EXTENSION TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA, <br />DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION RELATING TO <br />FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE FLORIDA RECREATION <br />DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF <br />FOREST BROOK PARK; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY <br />AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has been awarded and accepted a State of Florida Recreation <br />Development Grant in the amount of$112,500 for the development of Forest Brook Park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the deadline for the grant to be completed has expired and an extension is necessary to <br />remain eligible for the funding; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the State of Florida has agreed to extend the funding until May 31, 2005. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION I. The City Commission hereby approves entering into an extension of the agreement with <br />the State of Florida through May 31, 2005 providing financial assistance for the development of Forest <br />Brook Park for $112,500 and authorizes the Mayor to execute documents (attached as Exhibit A) on <br />behalf of the City of Casselberry. <br /> <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of <br />this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, <br />unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any <br />other Section or part of this Resolution. <br /> <br />SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br />adoption.
