<br />vending machines, coin-operated mechanical or electrical musical instruments or devices, <br />or coin-operated amusement devices which are not in the nature of, or similar to, casino- <br />type slot machines. <br /> <br />Casino- Type Slot Machine means, for purposes of this Chapter, a machine, device, <br />game or instrument which is prohibited by § 849.16, Fla. Stat., or which, by means of any <br />element of chance, even where the application of skill is involved, has as its object the <br />lining up of two or more colors, lights, or spinning objects, or any combination thereof. <br /> <br />Section 14.3. Slot Machines or Devices Prohibited. <br /> <br />(a) It shall be unlawful to have, own, operate, use, or allow another to have, own <br />operate or use a slot machine or device in the City of Casselberry, and slot <br />machines or devices are hereby prohibited in the City of Casselberry. <br /> <br />(b) No occupational licenses shall be issued by the City for any business or <br />organization which proposes to operate a slot machine or device in the City <br />and no occupational license shall be issued by the City for a slot machine or <br />device. <br /> <br />(c) This Article shall not be construed to amend the Casselberry Unified Land <br />Development Regulations, or any other land development regulation or <br />ordinance in effect in the City. <br /> <br />SECTION 2: Penalty provision. Violations of this ordinance shall be punishable as <br /> <br />provided in Chapter 1, Section 1-13 of the Casselberry Code of Ordinances. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY. If any section or portion of a section of this <br /> <br />Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair <br /> <br />the validity, force or effect of any other section or part of this Ordinance. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. CODIFICATION. It is the intention of the City Commission of the City <br /> <br />of Casselberry, Florida, and it is hereby ordained that the provisions of this Ordinance shall <br /> <br />become and be made a part of the Code of Ordinance of the City of Casselberry, Florida; <br /> <br /> <br />that the Sections of this Ordinance may be renumbered or re-Iettered to accomplish such <br /> <br />intention; that the word, "Ordinance" may be changed to "Section," "Article," or other <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 04-1122 <br />Page No.3 <br />
