City Commission Special Meeting/Workshop April 14, 2003 Page 2 MOTION: Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark to authorize staff to solicit proposals (RFP's) from other investor owned utility corporations that may express interest in providing power to the City of Casselberry. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried on a 4 - 1 roll call vote. Commissioner Kathy Cook dissenting. MOTION: Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark to authorize staff to proceed with request for proposals (RFP) for bulk wholesale power providers. MOTION: Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark to authorize staff to proceed with preparation of a request for fiscal advisor (RFP) and to obtain financial information regarding purchase costs and bond issuance for the system. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried on a 4 - 1 roll call vote. Commissioner Kathy Cook dissenting. MOTION: Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark to authorize staff to proceed with formulation of a communication plan to engage public input on the electric issue. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried unanimously by roll call vote. A workshop date of April 28, 2003 at 6:00 p.m., Commission Chambers was set by the City Commission for discussions regarding the fiscal year 2003-2004 Budget.
