CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br /> <br />CITY COMMISSION <br /> <br />The City Commission of the City of Casselberry held a Special Workshop on Tuesday, March <br />11, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. in the Casselberry City Hall Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, <br />Casselberry, Florida,. <br /> <br />ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT: <br /> <br />Bruce Pronovost, Mayor/Commissioner <br />Al Clark, Vice Mayor/Commissioner <br />Susan Doemer, Commissioner <br />Kathy Cook, Commissioner <br />Linda Hart, Commissioner <br /> <br />STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />Tony Segreto, Public Works Director, Acting City Manager <br />Thelma McPherson, City Clerk <br />John Pavlis, Police Chief <br />Mitchel Floyd, Fire Chief <br />Dick Wells, Community Development Director <br />Jeffrey Dreier, Finance Director <br />Matt Fortini, Parks and Recreation Director <br />Sandra Smith, Chief Planner <br /> <br />OTHERS PRESENT <br />Catherine Reischmann, City Attorney <br /> <br />The March 11, 2003 Special Workshop of the City Commission of the City of Casselberry was <br />called to order by Mayor Pronovost. The Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance was led by <br />Commissioner A1 Clark. Mayor Pronovost recognized guests from the City of Longwood, <br />former City Commissioners and Volunteer Advisory Board Members. <br /> <br />Mayor Pronovost stated that the purpose of the meeting was to hear presentations by investor- <br />owned electrical providers. This workshop was the first in a series to hear from such providers. <br />The two presenters for this first workshop were Progress Energy (formerly Florida Power <br />Corporation) and Enco Utility Services. He gave a brief overview of the status of franchise <br />negotiations with Florida Power and the refusal of Florida Power to honor the purchase option in <br />the Franchise Agreement with the City. <br /> <br /> <br />
