City Commission Meeting <br />February 24, 2003 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Legal advertisement for the first public hearing of Ordinance 03-1079 was published in <br />the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday, February 13, 2003. The second public hearing will be <br />scheduled for March 24, 2003 and advertised accordingly. <br /> <br />Staff Report - The proposed Code amendments correct scrivener's errors in Code Section <br />14 and to establish license revocation time periods for licenses that have been revoked <br />previously. The amendments require that suspension and revocation hearings be referred <br />to a hearing officer instead of the City Commission. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation - Recommend approval by the Commission of Ordinance 03- <br />1079, Adult Entertainment Amendments, on first reading at the February 24, 2003 <br />meeting. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of Ordinance <br />03-1079 at their meeting of February 12, 2003. <br /> <br />Public Participation - John Casselberry, 700 Lost Lake Lane, asked if the decision of the <br />hearing officer could be appealed in the court system. The City Attorney responded yes. <br /> <br />Commissioner Clark made the following correction: <br /> <br /> Page 10, Line 13 - add a period and space - "....merits of the application.._ If a person...." <br /> <br /> MOTION: Moved by Commissioner A! Clark that Ordinance 03-1079, <br /> Amendments to Adult Entertainment Code, be approved on first <br /> reading with correction. The motion was seconded by Commissioner <br /> Susan Doerner and carried 4 - 0 by roll call vote. <br /> <br /> AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br /> <br />Mayor Pronovost asked if there was anyone in the audience that wished to request participation <br />on any agenda item, or address the Commission on any other matter.
