RESOLUTION 25-3500 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LOCAL AGENCY PROGRAM AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE CENTRAL CASSELBERRY CONNECTIVITY PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry is committed to making its community safer, more comfortable, and more connected for people of all ages and abilities to walk and bike; and WHEREAS, the Central Casselberry Connectivity Project, comprised of several bundled projects, is intended to enhance connectivity between SR 436 and Winter Park Drive by providing safety improvements, traffic calming, and other minor improvements to South Winter Park Drive and local adjacent roadways, from Cannon Way to Marigold Road; and WHEREAS, these bundled projects were identified in the City's adopted Multimodal Transportation Master Plan (MTMP) during Fiscal Year (FY) 2017; and WHEREAS, construction of the proposed improvements using federal funds was programmed into the State of Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT's) Work Program for State Fiscal Year (FY) 2025; and WHEREAS, design of the Central Casselberry Connectivity Project has been completed; and WHEREAS, a Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement with FDOT is necessary in order to be able to construct the project with the assistance of federal funds; and WHEREAS, FDOT has provided a proposed LAP Agreement for this purpose; and WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the aforementioned Agreement and finds it acceptable to meet the needs of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the Local Agency Program Agreement with the State of Florida Department of Transportation for the construction of the Central Casselberry Connectivity Project and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed.
