RESOLUTION 13-2484 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE TD GREEN <br />STREETS GRANT RECIPIENT AGREEMENT (2013) WITH THE ARBOR DAY <br />FOUNDATION FOR A GREEN UP CASSELBERRY PROGRAM PROJECT; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />WHEREAS, the preservation and enhancement of tree canopy is of great importance to the City of <br />Casselberry, promoting improved quality of life, enhanced property values, environmental protection, and native <br />habitat; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry applied to the Arbor Day Foundation for the 2013 TD Green Streets <br />Grant in January 2013, proposing a multifaceted project under its Green Up Casselberry Program that includes tree <br />transplanting and several tree -related activities; and <br />WHEREAS, said application requested $20,000 in support of the proposed project, with an estimated in-kind <br />local match of $35,558; and <br />WHEREAS, the Arbor Day Foundation has informed the City of Casselberry that it has been chosen to <br />receive the requested award of $20,000; and <br />WHEREAS, the Arbor Day Foundation has provided the City with a TD Green Streets Grant Recipient <br />Agreement and has requested the City to promptly execute said agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed said Agreement and finds it acceptable to the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the TD Green Streets Grant <br />Recipient Agreement (2013), and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this <br />Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, <br />unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other <br />Section or pail of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV.
