RESOLUTION 16-2866 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE FY 2016/2017 ADDENDUM TO THE AGREEMENT FOR POLICE DISPATCHING SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE SEMINOLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, in accordance with Sections 163.01(2) and 163.01(14) Florida Statutes, the Seminole County Sheriffs Office and the City of Casselberry are authorized to enter into inter -local agreements for the provision of services; and WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office maintains seven days per week, twenty-four hours per day law enforcement dispatching services; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has determined that it is advantageous for the City and its residents to contract with the Sheriff's Office for the provision of police dispatching services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: SECTON I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the FY 2016/17 Addendum to the Agreement for Dispatching Services with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, as set forth in Exhibit A and attached hereto, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION HI. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution.
