December 19, 2008
Kelly H. Brock, Ph.D., P.E., CFM
City Engineer
City of Casselberry
95 Triplet Lake Drive
Casselberry, Florida 32707
(Inwood
e`'-_ consulting engineers
CAS -001
Re: Supplemental Proposal for Anchor Road Roadway & Drainage Improvements
(Revised)
City of Casselberry, Florida
Dear Mr. Brock:
Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. (Inwood) is submitting for your review and consideration
this request for supplemental funds for the above referenced project. The supplemental is
intended to address additional expenditure of man-hours beyond what was originally
proposed to address changes in design direction dictated by the City. The additions are
summarized as follows:
1. Efforts required to provide a supplemental pond design option without the cul-de-sac
at Oak Street. This will include revisions to the design plans for a new pond
configuration with associated drainage infrastructure modifications including modeling
to verify attenuation and calculations to verify pollutant loads.
2. Prepare design plans for retaining walls along the western edges of the proposed
ponds as part of the pond re -design. This will include geotechnical analysis to be
conducted by subconsultant GEC in accordance with their enclosed proposal. Note
that it is assumed that the wall will be either sheet pile, FDOT spec gravity wall, or
masonry block which will not require design by a structural engineer.
3. Prepare permit modification to the SJRWMD if necessary to address the pond re-
design. Note that it assumed the submittal will be electronic and the fee will be paid
for by the City.
The total requested supplement amount is $28,916.64 as a lump sum addition to the
existing contract (Purchase Order 052328 dated 10/02/07). A summary of the Inwood
man-hours and fees is enclosed as Attachment A. The subconsultant GEC's costs are
attached as Attachment B
