RESOLUTION 24-3456 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CHANGE ORDERS FOR THE QUEENS MIRROR NUTRIENT REDUCTION FACILITY PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Queens Mirror Lake has exhibited a consistent trend of elevated chlorophyll concentration and eutrophication, which is a direct result of elevated nutrient levels present within the lake; and WHEREAS, Task Authorization 6 under SOQ-2019-0424 was awarded to Geosyntec Consultants for a total amount of $77,248.02 to provide final design and post -design services; and WHEREAS, ITB 2024-1138 was awarded to CathCart Construction Company LLC. for a total amount of $3,219,230.00 for constructing the Queens Mirror Nutrient Reduction Facility; and WHEREAS, change orders based on field conditions and post -design services are needed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute future change orders for the Queens Mirror Nutrient Reduction Facility, under ITB 2024-1138 with Cathcart Construction Company LLC and Geosyntec Consultants for a total amount not to exceed $241,442.25. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED and ADOPTED this day of , AD 2024. ATTEST:
