City of Casselberry <br />Resolution 24-3458— Tentative Millage Rate <br />September 9, 2024 <br />1. Mayor: Next on the agenda is Resolution 24-3458, adoption of the City of <br />Casselberry's FY 2024-2025 tentative millage rate. <br />2. Mayor: Will the City Clerk please read Resolution 24-3458 by title only? <br />3. City Clerk: RESOLUTION 24-3458 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE TENTATIVE MILLAGE <br />RATE AND THE VOTED DEBT MILLAGE RATE FOR THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER <br />1, 2024 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2025; ANNOUNCING THE <br />ROLLED -BACK MILLAGE RATE, THE PERCENTAGE BY WHICH <br />THE TENTATIVE MILLAGE EXCEEDS THE ROLLED -BACK RATE <br />AND THE TENTATIVE MILLAGE RATE TO BE LEVIED; PROVIDING <br />FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />4. City Clerk: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to the tentative millage rate was <br />provided to all taxpayers of the City of Casselberry by the Seminole County Property <br />Appraiser with the Notice of Proposed Property Taxes mailed in August 2024, in <br />accordance with Truth In Millage (TRIM) requirements. <br />5. Mayor: Thank you. Now the City Manager will give a presentation. <br />6. City Manager: (PRESENTATION) <br />7. Mayor: (Announcement) Thank you. This is a public hearing to hear and <br />consider comments and questions regarding Resolution 24-3458 and the <br />City's proposed millage rates for the coming fiscal year. I'll now open the <br />floor for public participation. Is there anyone in the audience wishing to <br />address Resolution 24-3458? Please come forward and state your name and <br />address for the record..... <br />8. Mayor: (Close the floor for public participation and ask the City <br />Commission if they have any questions or comments regarding the proposed <br />millage rates.) The Chair will now entertain a motion regarding Resolution <br />24-3458. <br />9. Commission: Move to adopt Resolution 24-3458, establishing the tentative <br />operating millage rate at 2.9000 mills and the voted debt millage rate at <br />0.6633 for Fiscal Year 2024 — 2025. <br />
