3. Cooperation <br />a. It is agreed that both parties shall provide all necessary cooperation and assistance <br />so as to facilitate this Agreement and achieve the goals set forth in Section 1006.12, Florida <br />Statutes, and any other laws concerning school safety and security. <br />b. It is also agreed that both parties will provide all reasonable and necessary <br />cooperation so as to facilitate the accomplishment of the SCHOOL BOARD's statutory <br />obligations as it relates to school safety, the goals and objectives of the School Safety & <br />Security Director position, and the duties and responsibilities of the School Safety & <br />Security Director. <br />4. Basic Services <br />The AGENCY agrees to: <br />a. Provide one SRO full-time who will perform the duties set forth in Exhibit A <br />(School Resource SRO), which is attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes <br />by reference and attachment, available to perform the duties set forth in Exhibit A, who <br />will begin services upon the start of the 2024-2025 school year. The CITY shall be <br />responsible for all operating and outfitting costs. All SROs provided shall, at a minimum, <br />be equipped with a patrol vehicle, a duty weapon, a radio, and such equipment issued by <br />the AGENCY to officers. Additionally, the SROs shall maintain full fitness for duty in <br />order to be able to respond to crisis situations. The expectation of service is that a sworn <br />law enforcement SRO (preferably a trained school resource SRO) will be on campus daily <br />and provide continuous coverage during school hours. If the Agency, through the fault of <br />the AGENCY, is unable to fulfill these requirements, it will inform the School Safety & <br />Security Director in a timely manner, and the AGENCY shall adjust its compensation and <br />payment reimbursement invoice to the SCHOOL BOARD to reflect the service <br />deficiency. <br />b. Notwithstanding the requirements outlined herein, the requirements of (4)(a) are <br />not applicable during a critical event/incident where both parties agree upon the <br />reallocation of mission -critical assets. <br />C. Provide full-time SROs who will perform the duties set forth in Exhibit B (Project <br />You(th) in addition to Exhibit A, and which is also attached hereto and made a part hereof <br />for all purposes by reference and attachment. Each SRO assigned to a school shall, at a <br />minimum, be equipped with a patrol vehicle, weapon, radio, and other such equipment <br />issued by the AGENCY to officers. Additionally; each SRO so assigned shall maintain <br />full fitness for duty in order to be able to respond to crisis situations. <br />91 <br />
