NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. CODE AMENDMENT. Section 3-16.4, On -premises temporary sign <br />regulations, of Article XVI, Signs, Chapter III, Performance Criteria, of the Unified Land <br />Development Regulations of the City of Casselberry, Florida, is hereby amended to read as <br />follows: <br />ARTICLE XVI. SIGNS. <br />Section 3-16.4. - On -premises temporary sign regulations. <br />A. The City has an interest in allowing the following signs in order to comply with State and <br />local laws and to promote public safety on City property and in the street right-of-way. <br />Any sign which does not meet the criteria of this section and is not specifically permitted <br />elsewhere in this section is prohibited. The following signs are exempt from the building <br />permitting requirements of this section; provided they meet all building permit and <br />eleetr4cal eode standards, are kept in good repair-, and are not plaeed in stleh a manner so <br />as to ereate a hazafd of any kind -- <br />Temporary signs. Temporary signs do not require a building permit, however, all <br />Ttemporary Commer-ei ' M essa -e signs with a commercial message, except signs <br />on property for sale or lease, must be registered on a form supplied by the with <br />the Community Development Department. A -regi trat; ,r fen <br />el sign Noncommercial temporary signs regardless of size shall not require <br />an application to the Community Development Department but shall conform to <br />Table 3-16.4. <br />2. Address signs. Signs not exceeding two (2) square feet in area and bearing only <br />street address numbers, post office box numbers and the names of the occupants <br />of any private premises, for safety and traffic circulation purposes only. Every <br />building and temporary structure must display an address sign that is clearly <br />visible from the street for 911 purposes. <br />B. General criteria. The following criteria apply to all temporary signs unless otherwise <br />enumerated within this Article. These criteria are provided within Table 3-16.4.
