CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION
Minutes of January 22, 2024 — Regular Meeting
Page 15 of 15
its inaugural art exhibit; Mayors and Managers meeting on Tuesday, January 16"' at which
County Commissioner Jay Zembower was selected to serve as the next Chairman and the
discussion centered around the one -cent sales tax and an interlocal agreement between the cities
and the county related to how those revenues should be distributed and used if it passes; a
gathering at Community United Methodist Church on January 12`l' at which lie gave an update
on what is happening in the City of Casselberry, including the BJ's project and the project at
Dog Track Rd. and US Highway 17-92; Tri -County League of Cities meeting at which he was
selected as 2nd Vice President which means that lie will serve as President of the organization
in a couple of years should lie get re-elected during the next election cycle.
City Clerk Donna Gardner announced for the City Commission and the public that Travis Kelley's term of
appointment to the Pension Board would be through November 30, 2024. She advised that the Pension
Board is different from the City's other boards in that it has November and December expirations unlike
the others which are January, so it was a little harder to determine. The fact that lie was appointed to an
unexpired term caused by Commissioner Divita's appointment, and Ms. Divita had also been filling an
unexpired term made it even a little more complicated to determine the actual term expiration date. She
explained that Mr. Kelley will serve on the board until November of 2024, and he would need to reapply
prior to that if lie wishes to seek reappointment to the Board at that time.
18. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Mayor Henson adjourned the meeting at 6:18 p.m.
DATE MINUTES APPROVED BY CITY COMMISSION:
ATTEST:
64VOaXl
Donna G. Gardner, CMC
City Clerk
