ORDINANCE 23-1585 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, RELATING TO VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION; <br />MAKING FINDINGS; ANNEXING TO AND INCLUDING <br />WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, ONE (1) PARCEL <br />APPROXIMATELY 4.85 ACRES DESCRIBED WITH PARCEL <br />IDENTIFICATION NUMBER 26-20-30-5AR-OD00-055B; <br />REDEFINING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR THE INTERIM <br />PROVISION OF LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS; <br />PROVIDING THAT EFFECTIVE IN ACCORDANCE WITH <br />LAW, THE PROPERTY TO BE ANNEXED SHALL BE <br />ASSESSED FOR PAYMENT OF MUNICIPAL AD VALOREM <br />TAXES; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO FILE COPIES OF <br />THE ORDINANCE WITH THE SEMINOLE COUNTY CLERK <br />OF THE CIRCUIT COURT, THE CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE <br />OFFICER OF SEMINOLE COUNTY, AND THE FLORIDA <br />DEPARTMENT OF STATE; AND PROVIDING FOR <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the owners of certain lands more particularly described in Exhibit A, attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein, hereinafter referred to as the "Property", have requested that the <br />same be annexed and incorporated into the corporate limits of the City of Casselberry, Florida, <br />hereinafter referred to as the "City"; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission hereby finds that the Property is reasonably compact <br />and contiguous to the corporate areas of the City, and has determined that the annexation of the <br />Property will not result in the creation of any enclaves or pockets and otherwise fully complies <br />with the requirements of State law; and <br />WHEREAS, the City is in a position to effectively and efficiently provide municipal <br />services to the Property, and the City Commission has deemed it in the best interest of the City to <br />annex the Property; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to, and in compliance with, the law, notice has been given by <br />publication once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation <br />notifying the public of this proposed Ordinance and of a public hearing to be held at the City of <br />Casselberry City Hall; and , <br />WHEREAS, the provisions of this Ordinance and the actions taken herein are consistent <br />with the City's Comprehensive Plan and State law; and <br />GRANT MALOY, SEMINOLE COUNTY <br />CLERK OF CIRCUIT COURT & COMPTROLLER <br />CFN# 2024002452 Bk:10562 Pg:1687-1691(5Pgs) <br />REC: 01/09/2024 8:14:44 AM by jeckenrot <br />RECORDING FEES $44.00 <br />
