ORDINANCE 23-1587 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF C ASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />AMENDING PART II, CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 2, <br />ADMINISTRATION, BY ADDING A NEW SECTION ON REAL <br />PROPERTY TRANSACTIONS; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to streamline the purchase and sale of real property that is <br />Nvorth less than S2�0.000 according to the Seminole County Property Appraiser. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTIO\ I. A-MENDMENT. The Code of Ordinances of the City of Casselberry. <br />Florida, is hereby amended by adding a new section to be slumbered Section 2-7, which Section <br />shall read as follows: <br />Section 2-7. Real Property Transactions. For real property valued. at 5250,000 or <br />less by the Seminole County Property Appraiser, the City may proceed with the <br />transaction without acquiring ail independent appraisal. <br />SECTION II. CODIFICATION. It is the intention of the City Commission of the <br />City of Casselberry, Florida. and it is hereby ordained that the provisions of this Ordinance shall <br />beconle and be made a part of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Casselberry, Florida; that <br />the Sections of this Ordinance may be renumbered or re -lettered to accomplish such intention; <br />that the word. -Ordinance" may be changed to "Section." "Article," or other appropriate word. <br />SECTION III. CONFLICTS. All Ordinances or Resolutions. or parts of Ordinances or <br />Resolutions in conflict with any provisions of this Ordinance are hereby_ repealed to the extent of <br />the conflict. <br />SECTION IV. SEVERABILITY. If any Section or portion of a Section of this <br />Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawfiul, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or <br />impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION V. EFFECTIVE DATE.
