One of the things that we should act on one way or the other I would hope the Board feels the same way, that is what we look to you all for before we finalize something like this. McMullen: I don't have a problem with waiting for a proposal recommendation from the City Manager, then again we have half the police officers on one system and half on the other and I think they should be equal as far as the benefits, but I don't have a problem with the recommendation before we make a decision. Schluckebier: I may recommend that you do all or part of this but after the board takes whatever consideration it takes, I will not interfere between the Board's recommendation and the City Commission. Staff input will be to this board and then after that it is between this Board and the City Commission. Schluckebier: One of the things I would ask the board to consider is that in both cases, in case of the firefighters and the case of the police officers, firefighters just changed to a new union, we are in the middle of negotiating a new three year collective bargaining agreement with a new union, police officers this month are voting on whether to change to a new union. We are in the middle of negotiating a new three year contract with the old union, but if the new union changes, that will go out the window so we are not asking you to take a wait and see about all that but I do want to bring that to your attention that the time out so to speak with help let the dust settle on those other things as well.
