Police/Fire Pension Board Meeting <br />June 2, 2003 <br />Page 3 <br />VII. Attorney's Report <br />Mr. Scott Christiansen reported that none of the pension bills that were filed during the last legislative <br />session were passed. The administrative action where the City of Casselberry, along with five other <br />cities and the Florida League of Cities are challenging interpretation of the language by the Florida <br />Division of Retirement regarding the use of additional State monies has scheduled a hearing on June 24, <br />2003. Mr. Jeffrey Dreier will be testifying at that hearing. <br />Legislation has been enacted that gives cities the authority to adopt locally a change to travel <br />reimbursement rates and provide rates that are higher than what is in Chapter 112, which was made <br />retroactive to January 1, 2003. <br />Reminded all members to return their Financial Disclosure forms by July 1, 2003. <br />VIII.
