RESOLUTION 10-2167 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN <br />AGREEMENT FOR POLICE DISPATCHING SERVICES <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE SEMINOLE <br />COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE" <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Sections 163.01(2) AND 163.01(14) Florida Statutes, the <br />Seminole County Sheriff's Office and the City of Casselberry are authorized to enter into inter -local <br />agreements for the provision of services; and <br />WHEREAS, the City entered in an Agreement for Police Dispatching Services with the Seminole <br />County Sheriff's Office via Resolution 07-1787 on May 29, 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, Addendums to the Agreement have been provided each year to reflect annual cost <br />adjustments and the Addendum for FY09-10 expires on September 30, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, a new Agreement effective October 1, 2010 has been provided by the Sheriff's <br />Office to more closely reflect the current responsibilities of both parties; and <br />WHEREAS, the new Agreement specifies the City will be charged $367,656 for dispatching <br />services provided by the Sheriff's Office for FYI 0-1 l; and <br />WHEREAS, annual cost adjustments to this Agreement will be accomplished by Addendums <br />through the expiration date of September 30, 2014. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the Agreement <br />for Police Dispatching Services with the Seminole County Sheriffs Office (attached as Exhibit A) and <br />authorizes the Mayor to sign on behalf of the City Commission. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to <br />be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or <br />effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV.
