Street Lighting Assessment <br />Preliminary Rate Resolution <br />(K) The determination as to whether a Tax Parcel is Developed Property, Vacant <br />Property or Undevelopable Property shall be made using best available data prior to <br />adoption of the Preliminary Rate Resolution or Annual Rate Resolution in subsequent <br />Fiscal Years (e.g. Property Appraiser information, aerial images, visual inspection or data <br />deemed reliable by the City or its consultants.) <br />(L) It is hereby ascertained, determined, and declared that the method of <br />determining the Street Lighting Assessments as set forth in this Preliminary Rate <br />Resolution is a fair and reasonable method of apportioning the Street Lighting Service Cost <br />among Assessed Property. <br />SECTION 3.04. APPLICATION OF ASSESSMENT PROCEEDS. Proceeds <br />derived by the City from the Street Lighting Assessments shall be utilized for the provision <br />of Street Lighting Services. In the event there is any fund balance remaining at the end of <br />the Fiscal Year, such balance shall be carried forward and used only to fund Street Lighting <br />related services, facilities, improvements and programs. <br />SECTION 3.05. COLLECTION OF ASSESSMENTS. Street Lighting <br />Assessments shall be collected pursuant to the Uniform Assessment Collection Act; <br />provided, however, that Street Lighting Assessments for Government Property shall be <br />collected pursuant to Section 5.03 of the Assessment Ordinance. <br />15 <br />
