RESOLUTION 15-2779 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE <br />SEMINOLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE FOR INTERAGENCY <br />CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND COMPUTER SUPPORT; PROVIDING <br />FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office presently has the benefit of access to the <br />Florida Criminal Justice network (CJNet), National Crime Information Center (NCIC), the Florida <br />Crime Information Center (FCIC), and the Interstate Identification Index (III), all hereafter referred to <br />as FCIC, via network connectivity to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE); and <br />WHEREAS, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office has developed sophisticated law <br />enforcement software which is presently in use by other law enforcement agencies and criminal justice <br />agencies and is supported and maintained by Sheriff's Office staff on a seven (7) days per week, <br />twenty-four (24) hours per day basis; and <br />WHEREAS, the Casselberry Police Department has determined that it is advantageous to enter <br />into a contractual agreement with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office for the provision of criminal <br />justice computer software services, including continued access to FCIC and state/national criminal <br />justice information for the administration of criminal justice. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTON I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the agreement <br />with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office for interagency criminal justice computer software services <br />and support, as set forth and attached hereto as Exhibit A, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said <br />agreement on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION IL Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION IV. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to <br />be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, <br />or effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION V.
