RESOLUTION 23-2578 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE FY 2023/2024 ADDENDUM TO THE AGREEMENT FOR THE POLICE DISPATCHING SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE SEMINOLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 163.01(2) and 163.01(14) Florida Statutes, the Seminole County Sheriffs Office and the City of Casselberry are authorized to enter into inter- local agreements for the provision of services; and WHEREAS, the Sheriffs Office maintains seven days per week, twenty-four hours per day law enforcement dispatching services; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has determined that it is advantageous for the City and its residents to contract with the Sheriffs Office for the provision of police dispatching services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission hereby approves the FY 2023/24 Addendum to the Agreement for Dispatching Services between the City of Casselberry and the Seminole County Sheriff s Office, attached hereto, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Casselberry. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions of parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severability. If any section of portion of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and adoption.
