The primary intent of this project is to enhance the <br />bicycle/pedestrian safety and connectivity by narrowing the travel lanes, adding a wider <br />sidewalk, and including other complete street enhancements. The construction improvements <br />are along the north side of Southcot Drive between Sunset Drive and Lake Triplett Drive for an <br />approximate total length of 0.241 miles. Project scope includes milling and resurfacing, <br />construction of curb and gutter (along the north side of the corridor), wider concrete sidewalk, <br />and driveway reconstruction. Detectable warning surfaces will be placed on all curb <br />ramps/ramps. Drainage improvements include installation of pipe and curb inlets. A raised <br />midblock crossing is proposed approximately 550 -feet east of Sunset Drive along with two sets <br />of speed cushions. Signage and thermoplastic striping will be added to this project. Additionally, <br />mobilization, maintenance of traffic (MOT), erosion control, clearing and grubbing, removal of <br />existing concrete, sodding, excavation, and embankment are also included as part of this <br />project. <br />The roadway improvements (excavation, embankment, milling, inlets, pipe, type F curb and <br />gutter) are not eligible for federal reimbursement due to Southcot Drive not being listed on the <br />Federal Aid System. <br />All pedestrian facilities shall adhere to current ADA standards. Utility coordination is required <br />and has been coordinated. Utility coordination will be required during construction and utility <br />work schedules have been developed. The City of Casselberry (LOCAL GOVERNMENT) shall <br />construct the project within the limits of the existing right-of-way. <br />The LOCAL GOVERNMENT will be responsible for providing funds for any Federal -Aid Funding <br />Shortfall including the initial amount of $61,688.00. <br />The remainder of this page intentionally left blank. <br />
