City Council <br />December 18, 1989 <br />Mr. McIntosh said he would be signing as the Escrow Agent for the <br />$450,000; that any action taken by the City Council of the City of <br />Casselberry by way of approval shall be contingent upon the $450,000 <br />being deposited with the Escrow Agent by the closing or December 31, <br />1990, whichever date first occurs. In the event that escrow deposit <br />or any part thereof fails to be deposited at the closing date or by <br />December 31, 1990, then all approvals granted this date by Council <br />shall be declared null and void. <br />2. Boat Ramp Facilities - Mr. Campbell recommended that a landscape <br />island be placed between the entrance to the boat ramp driveway and <br />parking spaces. <br />Mr. David Richmond, Bonaire Development Corporation, Carmel Develop- <br />ment Associates, Inc., 101 Wymore Road, Altamonte Springs, stated that <br />the existing ramp leads to the building with a driveway used by the <br />dumpster company; immediately next to the ramp is a handicapped parking <br />space. He stated that the unit owners did not want to lose any parking <br />spaces in front of the building and were opposed to the island. <br />MOTION: Mr. Henson moved, Mr. McMullen seconded, <br />and motion carried 4 - 1 (Mrs. Percle dis- <br />senting) to exempt Contigency #2, Boat Ramp <br />Facilities, upon. recommendation of the Carmel - <br />by -the -Lake Condominium Association; exemption <br />only applies to Contingency #2, Boat Ramp <br />Facilities, as outlined in the December 14, 1989 <br />memorandum from Mr. Campbell to Mayor Dennison. <br />Mr. Campbell said the Planning Department has asked for clarification <br />regarding the specific responsibilities of each entity for specific improve- <br />ments. In a letter dated December 14, 1989 from David Richmond, he <br />indicates that the Carmel -by -the -Lake Condominium Association would be <br />receiving the title to the land underlying the proposed recreational and <br />common area improvements will be conveyed to the Carmel -by -the -Lake <br />Condominium Association, Inc. and all improvements and development will <br />be performed by Carmel Development Associates.
