RESOLUTION 22-3314 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE SEMINOLE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD FOR SERVICES OF A SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER FOR THE 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR; 3PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the Seminole County School Board has requested, and the City of Casselberry agrees to provide law enforcement personnel to perform the duties and responsibilities of a School Resource Officer at South Seminole Middle School; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry wishes to enter into an agreement with the Seminole County School Board for services of a School Resource Officer commencing on July 1, 2022, and continuing through June 30, 2023; and WHEREAS, said Agreement provides for the City of Casselberry and the Seminole County School Board to fund the salary costs of the School Resource Officer, with the Seminole County School Board compensating the City of Casselberry the sum of $56,798.53 will be made on a monthly basis in twelve (12) equal installments in the amounts listed in Exhibit A, attached hereto, payable by the fifth (5) business day of the month following the last day of the calendar month within which the services were provided NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission hereby approves the Agreement and duties of the School Resource Officer for the 2022-2023 school year between the City of Casselberry and the Seminole County School Board, attached hereto as Exhibit A, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Casselberry. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions of parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severability. If any section of portion of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution.
