RESOLUTION 22-3314 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY AND THE SEMINOLE COUNTY <br />SCHOOL BOARD FOR SERVICES OF A SCHOOL <br />RESOURCE OFFICER FOR THE 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR; <br />3PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE <br />WHEREAS, the Seminole County School Board has requested, and the City of <br />Casselberry agrees to provide law enforcement personnel to perform the duties and <br />responsibilities of a School Resource Officer at South Seminole Middle School; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry wishes to enter into an agreement with the <br />Seminole County School Board for services of a School Resource Officer commencing on July <br />1, 2022, and continuing through June 30, 2023; and <br />WHEREAS, said Agreement provides for the City of Casselberry and the Seminole <br />County School Board to fund the salary costs of the School Resource Officer, with the Seminole <br />County School Board compensating the City of Casselberry the sum of $56,798.53 will be made <br />on a monthly basis in twelve (12) equal installments in the amounts listed in Exhibit A, attached hereto, <br />payable by the fifth (5) business day of the month following the last day of the calendar month <br />within which the services were provided <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission hereby approves the Agreement and duties of the <br />School Resource Officer for the 2022-2023 school year between the City of Casselberry and the <br />Seminole County School Board, attached hereto as Exhibit A, and authorizes the Mayor to <br />execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Casselberry. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions of parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any section of portion of this Resolution proves to be <br />invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, <br />force, effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />
