RESOLUTION 18-3016 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SUB - RECIPIENT AGREEMENT WITH THE SEMINOLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE TO RECEIVE FUNDING PROVIDED THROUGH THE CENTRAL FLORIDA HIGH INTENSITY DRUG TRAFFICKING AREAS (HEREIN REFERRED TO AS HIDTA) PROGRAM, GRANT NUMBER G18CF0008A. WHEREAS, the Seminole County Sheriffs Office has been awarded HIDTA Grant Agreement number G18CF0008A which provides funding to sub -recipients that participate in the Seminole County Sheriffs Office City County Investigative Bureau (herein referred to as CCIB) during the period of January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2019; and WHEREAS, the Seminole County Sheriff s Office has provided a Sub -Recipient Agreement for the Casselberry Police Department, that actively participates in the CCIB, which will enable the City of Casselberry to receive a portion of the funding awarded to the Seminole County Sheriff s Office through the HIDTA Grant program; and WHEREAS, the Casselberry Police Department has determined that it is advantageous for the City to enter into the Sub -Recipient Agreement with the Seminole County Sheriffs Office for the purpose of receiving HIDTA grant funding for participation in the Seminole County Sheriffs Office CCIB during the period January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2019. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the Sub - Recipient Agreement with the Seminole County Sheriffs Office for grant funding through HIDTA Grant Number GI8CF0008A, as set forth and attached as Exhibit A, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions of parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severability. If any section of portion of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution.
