RESOLUTION 18-3016 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SUB - <br />RECIPIENT AGREEMENT WITH THE SEMINOLE COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE TO RECEIVE FUNDING PROVIDED THROUGH <br />THE CENTRAL FLORIDA HIGH INTENSITY DRUG TRAFFICKING <br />AREAS (HEREIN REFERRED TO AS HIDTA) PROGRAM, GRANT <br />NUMBER G18CF0008A. <br />WHEREAS, the Seminole County Sheriffs Office has been awarded HIDTA Grant <br />Agreement number G18CF0008A which provides funding to sub -recipients that participate in <br />the Seminole County Sheriffs Office City County Investigative Bureau (herein referred to as <br />CCIB) during the period of January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2019; and <br />WHEREAS, the Seminole County Sheriff s Office has provided a Sub -Recipient <br />Agreement for the Casselberry Police Department, that actively participates in the CCIB, which <br />will enable the City of Casselberry to receive a portion of the funding awarded to the Seminole <br />County Sheriff s Office through the HIDTA Grant program; and <br />WHEREAS, the Casselberry Police Department has determined that it is advantageous <br />for the City to enter into the Sub -Recipient Agreement with the Seminole County Sheriffs <br />Office for the purpose of receiving HIDTA grant funding for participation in the Seminole <br />County Sheriffs Office CCIB during the period January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2019. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the Sub - <br />Recipient Agreement with the Seminole County Sheriffs Office for grant funding through <br />HIDTA Grant Number GI8CF0008A, as set forth and attached as Exhibit A, and authorizes the <br />Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions of parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any section of portion of this Resolution proves to be <br />invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, <br />force, effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />
