RESOLUTION 19-3110 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE 2019/2023 AGREEMENT FOR LEGAL SERVICES FOR FORFEITURE ACTIONS BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE SEMINOLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 163.01(2) and 163.01(14) Florida Statutes, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office and the City of Casselberry are authorized to enter into inter- local agreements for the provision of services; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has determined that it is advantageous for the City and its residents to contract with the Sheriffs Office for the provision of legal services for forfeiture actions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That the 2019/2023 Agreement for Legal Services for Forfeiture Actions between the City of Casselberry and the Seminole County Sheriffs Office, as set forth in Exhibit A and attached hereto, is hereby approved. SECTION II. The Mayor of the City of Casselberry is hereby authorized to execute said document on behalf of the City of Casselberry. SECTION III. Conflicts. All Resolutions of parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION IV. Severability. If any section or portion of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION V. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and adoption.
