RESOLUTION 18-3022 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A LOAN APPLICATION TO OBTAIN PROJECT FINANCING UNDER THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION STATE REVOLVING FUND (SRF) PROGRAM FOR PLANNING OF THE SMART METER CONVERSION PROJECT; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY FINANCE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE THE APPLICATION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, Florida Statutes provide for financial assistance to local government agencies to finance various projects; and WHEREAS, Florida Administrative Code rules require authorization to apply for financial assistance, to provide assurance of compliance with program requirements, and enter into an agreement; and WHEREAS, the State Revolving Fund priority list designates certain project as eligible for funding; and WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection has approved the City's Smart Meter Conversion Project as a funding priority at its February 14, 2018 funding priority meeting; and, WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry requires financial assistance for planning the conversion of utility water meters to smart meters; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry intends to enter into a loan agreement with the Department of Environmental Protection under the State Revolving Fund for project financing. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the authorization to apply for financial assistance for the planning of the smart meter conversion project, attached as Exhibit A, and authorizes the Finance Director to execute said document(s) on behalf of the City. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed
