CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of August 8, 2022 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 3 of 9 <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended approval of the donation to the <br />Central Florida Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors in the amount of $1,000 and related Budget <br />Amendment #22-051. <br />B. Resolution 22-3319 — Authorizing Joint Submittal of a "Safe Streets and Roads for <br />All" Planning Grant Application to the U.S. Department of Transportation <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE JOINT SUBMITTAL OF A SAFE STREETS AND ROADS FOR <br />ALL REGIONAL PLANNING GRANT PROPOSAL TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION IN CONJUNCTION WITH METROPLAN ORLANDO TO ASSIST WITH <br />FUNDING THE CREATION OF A LOCALIZED COMPREHENSIVE SAFETY ACTION PLAN; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Introduction: Approval of Resolution 22-3319 authorizing the City of Casselberry to participate in joint <br />submittal of a Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Regional Planning Grant with MetroPlan Orlando and <br />other agencies to the U.S. Department of Transportation to assist with funding the development of a <br />Comprehensive Safety Action Plan, inclusive of a local match of 20%, not to exceed $30,000, is requested. <br />Budget Impact: There is no immediate impact to the City Budget. However, should the City be awarded <br />a planning grant (through joint application) and enter into a grant agreement, and/or agreement with <br />participating agencies, it is anticipated a local match, not to exceed $30,000 (as proposed in this agenda <br />iteral), would be included as part of the agreement. This would be addressed by future agenda item(s) with <br />Budget Amendment(s) as needed. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works & Utilities Director recommended approval <br />of Resolution 22-3319. <br />C. Resolution 22-3320 — Authorizing Execution of an Interlocal Agreement with <br />Seminole County for American Rescue Plan Act Fundingand Approval of Related <br />Budget Amendment 422-055 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN SEMINOLE COUNTY <br />AND THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY FOR AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT FUNDING; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Introduction: Approval of Resolution 22-3320 authorizing execution of an Interlocal Agreement with <br />Seminole County for American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding in the amount of $407,806.93 toward <br />regional mental health initiatives coordinated by the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, and related Budget <br />Amendment #22-055 is requested. <br />
