RESOLUTION 10-2169 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA <br />ADOPTING THE TENTATIVE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE CITY <br />OF CASSLEBERRY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING ON <br />OCTOBER 1, 2010 AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2011; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING <br />FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry must provide public nonce <br />of and hold a public hearing on the tentative operating budget pursuant to Florida TRIM statLte; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the public notice for the public hearing for the tentative operating budget <br />was provided to all taxpayers of the City of Casselberry by the Seminole County Property <br />Appraiser in their "TRIM" notice which was mailed out in August 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry desires to adopt .he <br />tentative budget; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry deems that this Resolut on <br />is in the best interest of the public health, safety, welfare and well-being of the citizens of <br />Casselberry. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. Tentative Budget. The City Commission adopts its tentative budget as <br />may be amended for the Fiscal Year commencing October 1, 2010 and ending September 30, <br />2011, as presented at its regularly scheduled Public Hearing assembled on the date of this <br />Resolution, with all amendments, if any, adopted at that meeting. <br />SECTION II. Proposed Expenditures. The proposed expenditures in the tentative <br />budget total $40,492,507. The expenditures are as follows: General Fund - $18,073,721, Other <br />Governmental Funds - $7,633,234, Enterprise Funds - $14,785,553. The budget is based upon <br />gross taxable value of real and personal property of $1,145,359,359. <br />SECTION III. Public Notice. Within fifteen (15) days of the date of this Resolution, <br />the City Clerk shall advertise in a newspaper of general circulation the City's intent to finally <br />adopt the millage rate and budget and shall hold a public hearing to finalize the budget and adept <br />the millage rate not less than two (2) days or more than five (5) days after the date -he <br />advertisement is first published. <br />SECTION IV. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />
