RESOLUTION 10-2162 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE APPROVAL AND <br />EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 2 TO THE <br />STANDARD CONSULTANT AGREEMENT FOR CONTINUING <br />PROFESSIONAL WATER AND SEWER UTILITY ENGINEERING <br />SERVICES WITH REISS ENGINEERING, INC. FOR DESIGN SERVICES <br />FOR THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY'S WATER QUALITY MASTER <br />PLAN; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />WHEREAS, the City is dedicated to maintaining its potable water supply and <br />transmission infrastructure and optimizing potable water quality in order to continue providing <br />high standards of service to its customers; and <br />WHEREAS, a water quality master plan is necessary to accomplish this goal; and <br />WHEREAS, the master plan will attempt to address long- and short-term challenges <br />with the City's water distribution system, such as future population growth and water demands, <br />water quality protection, water supply availability, infrastructure assessment, and future capital <br />improvement projects; and <br />WHEREAS, on May 10, 2010, via Resolution 10-2136, the City Commission approved a <br />Standard Consultant Agreement with Reiss Engineering, Inc. for Continuing Professional Water <br />and Sewer Utility Engineering Services; and <br />WHEREAS, Reiss Engineering, Inc. has submitted a scope of services proposal via <br />Supplemental Agreement No. 2 for the design and implementation of the City's Water Quality <br />Master Plan, for an amount not to exceed $134,00.00 without prior authorization; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works staff has reviewed Supplemental Agreement No. 2 to the <br />Standard Consultant Agreement with Reiss Engineering, Inc. and find it favorable to the City. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves <br />Supplemental Agreement No. 2 to the Standard Consultant Agreement for Professional Water <br />and Sewer Utility Engineering Services with Reiss Engineering, Inc. in an amount not to exceed <br />$134,000 (attached as "Attachment A"), and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on <br />behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION HL Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />
