RESOLUTION 10-2162 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE APPROVAL AND EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 2 TO THE STANDARD CONSULTANT AGREEMENT FOR CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL WATER AND SEWER UTILITY ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH REISS ENGINEERING, INC. FOR DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY'S WATER QUALITY MASTER PLAN; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, the City is dedicated to maintaining its potable water supply and transmission infrastructure and optimizing potable water quality in order to continue providing high standards of service to its customers; and WHEREAS, a water quality master plan is necessary to accomplish this goal; and WHEREAS, the master plan will attempt to address long- and short-term challenges with the City's water distribution system, such as future population growth and water demands, water quality protection, water supply availability, infrastructure assessment, and future capital improvement projects; and WHEREAS, on May 10, 2010, via Resolution 10-2136, the City Commission approved a Standard Consultant Agreement with Reiss Engineering, Inc. for Continuing Professional Water and Sewer Utility Engineering Services; and WHEREAS, Reiss Engineering, Inc. has submitted a scope of services proposal via Supplemental Agreement No. 2 for the design and implementation of the City's Water Quality Master Plan, for an amount not to exceed $134,00.00 without prior authorization; and WHEREAS, Public Works staff has reviewed Supplemental Agreement No. 2 to the Standard Consultant Agreement with Reiss Engineering, Inc. and find it favorable to the City. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves Supplemental Agreement No. 2 to the Standard Consultant Agreement for Professional Water and Sewer Utility Engineering Services with Reiss Engineering, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $134,000 (attached as "Attachment A"), and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION HL Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution.
