RESOLUTION 10-2159 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE APPROVAL AND <br />EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 1 TO THE <br />STANDARD CONSULTANT AGREEMENT FOR CONTINUING <br />PROFESSIONAL WATER AND SEWER UTILITY ENGINEERING <br />SERVICES WITH REISS ENGINEERING, INC. FOR DESIGN SERVICES <br />ASSOCIATED WITH THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY'S <br />UNIDIRECTIONAL FLUSHING PROGRAM; PROVIDING FOR <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to continue to improve its water quality and maintain customer <br />satisfaction throughout its portable water distribution system; and <br />WHEREAS, the unidirectional flushing process is a proven, systematic approach to removing <br />pipe deposits and improving water distribution system quality; and <br />WHEREAS, on May 10, 2010, via Resolution 10-2136, the City Commission approved a <br />Standard Consultant Agreement with Reiss Engineering, Inc. for Continuing Professional WE -ter and <br />Sewer Utility Engineering Services; and <br />WHEREAS, Reiss Engineering, Inc. has submitted a scope of services proposal via <br />Supplemental Agreement No. 1 for the design and implementation of the City's Unidirectional Flushing <br />Program, for an amount not to exceed $63,700.00 without prior authorization; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works staff has reviewed Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to the Standard <br />Consultant Agreement with Reiss Engineering, Inc. and find it favorable to the City. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION'OF THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves Supplemental <br />Agreement No. I to the Standard Consultant Agreement for Professional Water and Sewer Utility <br />Engineering Services with Reiss Engineering, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $63,700 (attached as <br />"Attachment A"), and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to <br />be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, farce, or <br />effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately Lpon its <br />passage and adoption. <br />
