RESOLUTION 10-2159 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE APPROVAL AND EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 1 TO THE STANDARD CONSULTANT AGREEMENT FOR CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL WATER AND SEWER UTILITY ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH REISS ENGINEERING, INC. FOR DESIGN SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY'S UNIDIRECTIONAL FLUSHING PROGRAM; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, the City wishes to continue to improve its water quality and maintain customer satisfaction throughout its portable water distribution system; and WHEREAS, the unidirectional flushing process is a proven, systematic approach to removing pipe deposits and improving water distribution system quality; and WHEREAS, on May 10, 2010, via Resolution 10-2136, the City Commission approved a Standard Consultant Agreement with Reiss Engineering, Inc. for Continuing Professional WE -ter and Sewer Utility Engineering Services; and WHEREAS, Reiss Engineering, Inc. has submitted a scope of services proposal via Supplemental Agreement No. 1 for the design and implementation of the City's Unidirectional Flushing Program, for an amount not to exceed $63,700.00 without prior authorization; and WHEREAS, Public Works staff has reviewed Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to the Standard Consultant Agreement with Reiss Engineering, Inc. and find it favorable to the City. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION'OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves Supplemental Agreement No. I to the Standard Consultant Agreement for Professional Water and Sewer Utility Engineering Services with Reiss Engineering, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $63,700 (attached as "Attachment A"), and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, farce, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately Lpon its passage and adoption.
