RESOLUTION 10-2156 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, RATIFYING <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE <br />COASTAL FLORIDA POLICE BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION — OFFICERS <br />AND SERGEANTS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry and the Coastal Florida ?olice Benevolent Association — <br />Offlcers and Sergeants have negotiated a proposed agreement modifying the current agreement and <br />extending the agreement for three years through September 30, 2012; and <br />WHEREAS, Coastal Florida Police Benevolent Association leadership has endorsed and <br />submitted the agreement to the employees represented by the unit; and <br />WHEREAS, the employees represented by the Coastal Florida Police Benevolent Association <br />completed a voting process and the majority of the collected votes were in favor of the agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the agreement contributes to the City's strategic goals; and <br />WHEREAS, the agreement provides for maintaining and improving effective procedures. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The Mayor of the City of Casselberry, Florida, on behalf of the City <br />Commission, is hereby authorized to execute the collective bargaining agreement, attached as "Exhibit <br />A", with the Coastal Florida Police Benevolent Association. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of the Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability.—If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves <br />to be invalid, or unlawful, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any <br />other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV.
