RESOLUTION 10-2131 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />AND SEMINOLE COUNTY FOR THE RECEIPT OF COMMUNITY SERVICES <br />BLOCK GRANT AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT <br />GRANT FUNDING FOR DAY CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS; PROVIDING FOR <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />WHEREAS, Seminole County has received Community Services Block Grant funding from the <br />State of Florida Department of Community Affairs for day camp scholarships for eligible individuals <br />residing in Seminole County, Florida; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry's Day Camp program, offered annually for an 8 -week period <br />for campers ages 6-12, is open to both residents of the City of Casselberry and residents of Seminole <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, Seminole County has statutory authority to disburse the grant funding and has <br />identified the City of Casselberry Day Camp Program as an approved Seminole County program; and <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of the agreement between Seminole County and the City of Casselberry <br />is to describe the processes and procedures that will be followed if an eligible individual receives <br />scholarship funding from Seminole County for enrollment in the City of Casselberry's Day Camp program <br />and to identify the operating procedures governing payment for the program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission hereby agrees to the terms and approves the Day Camp <br />Provider Agreement between the City of Casselberry and Seminole County (Attachment A) for receipt of <br />up to $23,560 in Community Services Block Grant funding as Day Camp Scholarships for the Casselberry <br />Day Camp program. <br />SECTION II. The City Commission hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute <br />said agreement on behalf of the City of Casselberry, Florida. <br />SECTION III. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION IV. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be <br />invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or <br />effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION V. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its <br />passage and adoption. <br />
