RESOLUTION 09-2013 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN HDR, INC. AND THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY FOR CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING INSPECTION SERVICES FOR THE ANCHOR ROAD IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, the Anchor Road Improvements Project is a joint City -County project that includes multiple funding sources, including City funds, Seminole County funds, and federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds; and WHEREAS, this project will provide utility improvements, drainage improvements, and new sidewalks for the Anchor Road corridor; and WHEREAS, Staff has determined Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) services are necessary to ensure the Anchor Road project is constructed efficiently and effectively to the City's and County's satisfaction; and WHEREAS, HDR, Inc., which has a continuing services contract with the City, has provided a proposed Scope of Services Agreement for CEI services not to exceed $101,962.08; and WHEREAS, City staff have reviewed the proposed Scope of Services Agreement from HDR, Inc. and found it to be adequate to meet the project requirements of the City. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the Scope of Services Agreement with HDR, Inc. (attached as "Exhibit A") for CEI services for Anchor Road, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED and ADOPTED this Y day of(b{,�{ , AD 2009.
