RESOLUTION 21-3269 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN SEMINOLE COUNTY, THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, MUNICIPALITIES WITHIN SEMINOLE COUNTY, AND THE SEMINOLE COUNTY PROPERTY APPRAISER FOR GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM SERVICES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Section 163.01, Florida Statutes authorizes local governmental units to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate with other localities on a basis of mutual advantage and thereby to provide services and facilities in a manner that will accord best with geographic, economic, population, and other factors influencing the needs and development of local communities; and WHEREAS, Seminole County and the City of Casselberry entered into an agreement on February 19, 1996, known as the Geographic Information System (GIS) Interlocal Agreement (Agreement) to share geospatial data, which automatically renewed for one (1) year periods unless superseded by a new Agreement or terminated; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the Agreement is to facilitate continued sharing and cooperative use of geospatial data, to establish minimum data standards, to improve data quality and institute timeliness of data sharing; and WHEREAS, there is mutual public benefit to each of the parties in sharing GIS data which allow all of the parties to accomplish their goals at a lower cost; and WHEREAS, the Agreement has been updated and includes Seminole County, the cities of Casselberry, Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary, Longwood, Oviedo, Sanford, and Winter Springs, and the Seminole County Property Appraiser. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission does hereby approve and authorize the Mayor to execute the Interlocal Agreement with Seminole County, its incorporated municipalities, and the Seminole County Property Appraiser, attached to this Resolution as Exhibit A. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions, or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict. SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution.
