RESOLUTION 21-3269 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN <br />INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN SEMINOLE COUNTY, THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, MUNICIPALITIES WITHIN SEMINOLE <br />COUNTY, AND THE SEMINOLE COUNTY PROPERTY APPRAISER <br />FOR GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM SERVICES; PROVIDING <br />FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, Section 163.01, Florida Statutes authorizes local governmental units to <br />make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate with other localities on <br />a basis of mutual advantage and thereby to provide services and facilities in a manner that will <br />accord best with geographic, economic, population, and other factors influencing the needs and <br />development of local communities; and <br />WHEREAS, Seminole County and the City of Casselberry entered into an agreement on <br />February 19, 1996, known as the Geographic Information System (GIS) Interlocal Agreement <br />(Agreement) to share geospatial data, which automatically renewed for one (1) year periods unless <br />superseded by a new Agreement or terminated; and <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of the Agreement is to facilitate continued sharing and <br />cooperative use of geospatial data, to establish minimum data standards, to improve data quality <br />and institute timeliness of data sharing; and <br />WHEREAS, there is mutual public benefit to each of the parties in sharing GIS data <br />which allow all of the parties to accomplish their goals at a lower cost; and <br />WHEREAS, the Agreement has been updated and includes Seminole County, the cities <br />of Casselberry, Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary, Longwood, Oviedo, Sanford, and Winter Springs, <br />and the Seminole County Property Appraiser. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission does hereby approve and authorize the Mayor to <br />execute the Interlocal Agreement with Seminole County, its incorporated municipalities, and the <br />Seminole County Property Appraiser, attached to this Resolution as Exhibit A. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions, or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />
