RESOLUTION 17-2977 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY AND THE SEMINOLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />CONCERNING THE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF 800 <br />MHZ, P25 RADIO COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT AND <br />ACCESSORIES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has been participating in an agreement with the <br />Seminole County Sheriff's Office concerning radio communication equipment since October 18, <br />1995; and <br />WHEREAS, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office presently has the capability of <br />servicing and maintaining 800 MHz, P25 radio communications equipment; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has determined that it is advantageous to enter into <br />a contractual agreement with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office concerning the installation <br />and maintenance of 800 MHz, P25 radio communications equipment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the <br />agreement with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office concerning the installation and <br />maintenance of 800 MHz, P25 radio communications equipment, as set forth and attached hereto <br />as Exhibit A, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said agreement on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions of parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any section of portion of this Resolution proves to be <br />invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, <br />force, effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />passage and adoption. <br />
