Resolution 12-2371 — Creation of an Economic Development Advisory Board <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />CREATING AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY BOARD; PRESCRIBING <br />QUALIFICATIONS AND DUTIES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Introduction: Resolution 12-1371 creates an Economic Development Advisory Board for the purpose of <br />developing a public-private framework to encourage a collaborative approach toward business and economic <br />development. This Board will be responsible for working toward improving the business climate in the City <br />and seeking solutions to business climate challenges. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City budget at this time. <br />Recommendation: The Interim City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended <br />approval of Resolution 12-2371. <br />B. Resolution 12-2405 — Annual Improvement Assessment Resolution for the <br />Construction and Maintenance of the Summerset North Subdivision Wall <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />APPROVING THE ASSESSMENT ROLLS FOR THE SUMMERSET NORTH ASSESSMENT AREA <br />ESTABLISHED PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO. 04-1137; ESTABLISHING THE LIENS <br />ASSOCIATED THEREWITH; DIRECTING THAT THE ASSESSMENT ROLL BE CERTIFIED TO <br />THE SEMINOLE COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Introduction: Resolution 12-2405 provides for certification of the assessment rolls for the annual local <br />improvement assessments related to the construction and maintenance of the Summerset North subdivision <br />wall. <br />Budget Impact: The construction assessment is applied to the costs incurred by the City for the construction <br />of the wall. This is essentially for the repayment of a loan that was spread over a ten-year period; this is the <br />ninth year of the assessment. The maintenance assessment is held in an account to be used for the maintenance <br />and repair of the wall. This assessment will continue for the life of the wall. <br />Recommendation: The Interim City Manager and the Interim Finance Director recommended approval of <br />Resolution 12-2405. <br />
