ARTICLE 4 <br />UNION ACTIVITIES <br />4.1. Upon request, the City will furnish to the Union a current copy of all orders and <br />regulations upon the payment of the actual cost of reproduction. <br />4.2. A designated Union Representative may be released from duty using Union <br />Business Pool Time for the purpose of investigating grievances and attending grievance hearings <br />as work demands permit. A designated Union Representative may be released from duty using <br />Union Business Pool Time to attend conventions, seminars, and meetings in conjunction with <br />Union responsibilities as work demands permit. <br />4.3. The bargaining unit employees may donate in increments of not less than two (2) <br />hours of their accrued annual leave (vacation) toward the Union Business Pool Time Account. <br />Donations will be compiled by use of Union Business Pool Time Account form, a copy in <br />duplicate, a copy to the City and a copy to the Union office. <br />4.4. The Union Business Pool Time will be recorded on the basis of dollars in and <br />dollars out. <br />4.5. The Employees will be precluded from conducting official Union business during <br />working hours, excluding breaks, meal periods, and rest hours. City facilities will not be used <br />for Union meetings unless authorized by the City Manager. <br />4.6. The Union Representatives will submit leave requests in accordance with existing <br />departmental policy. <br />—6— <br />
