CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of March 14, 2022 — Regular Meeting Page 4 of 12 services will increase from $15.04 to $16.34/home per month for regular and special collection services and from $30.08 to $32.68 for side -door collection services. This represents an 8.64% increase in the cost for this service. The rates the City charges to residents were recently established by the City Commission via Resolution 21-3242, which adopted a residential solid waste fee schedule. Any adjustments to this fee schedule will be reviewed and considered by the City Commission at a later date. Budget Impact: Sufficient funding is currently available in the Solid Waste Other Contractual Services account #118-0730-534.34-00. However, staff will continue to monitor the FY 22 budget for these services and recommend adjustments as necessary. Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of Resolution 22-3295. D. Resolution 22-3296 — Amendment No. 2 to the Exclusive Franchise Agreement with GFL Solid Waste Southeast LLC for Commercial Solid Waste Services for Franchise 1 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT NO.2 TO THE EXCLUSIVE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT FOR COMMERCIAL SOLID WASTE SERVICES WITH GFL SOLID WASTE SOUTHEAST, LLC FOR FRANCHISE 1 (FRONTLOAD DI. MPS T ER, CART, COMPACTOR, AND OTHERWISE PU T RESCIBLE SOLID WASTE); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Introduction: Consideration of approval of Resolution 22-3296 which provides for Amendment No. 2 to the exclusive franchise agreement for commercial solid waste services with GFL Solid Waste Southeast, LLC for Franchise 1 to allow for flexibility in hauling locations is requested. Franchise 1 is for frontload dumpster, cart, compactor, and otherwise putrescible solid waste. (Ref: RFP -2020-0636) Budget Impact: There is no budget impact associated with this item.
