RESOLUTION 21-3254 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE <br />SCHOOL BOARD OF SEMINOLE COUNTY FOR SERVICES <br />OF A SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER FOR THE 2021-2022 <br />SCHOOL YEAR; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE <br />WHEREAS, the School Board of Seminole County has requested, and the City of <br />Casselberry agrees to provide law enforcement personnel to perform the duties and <br />responsibilities of a School Resource Officer at South Seminole Academy; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry wishes to enter into an agreement with the School <br />Board of Seminole County for services of a School Resource Officer commencing on July 1, <br />2021 and continuing through June 30, 2022; and <br />WHEREAS, said Agreement provides for the City of Casselberry and the School Board <br />of Seminole CouitLy to fund rile salary costs of til\, SVhooI Rlsoulee O111cer with the SVllool <br />Board of Seminole County compensating the City of Casselberry the sum of $49,065.00 in four <br />(4) equal payments in the amounts listed in Exhibit A, attached hereto, beginning on August 15, <br />2021. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission hereby approves the Agreement and duties of the <br />School Resource Officer for the 2021-2022 school year between the City of Casselberry and the <br />School Board of Seminole County, attached hereto, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said <br />Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Casselberry. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions of parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any section of portion of this Resolution proves to be <br />invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, <br />force, effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />
