City of Casselberry <br />Parks and Recreation Advisory Board <br />Regular Meeting — March 10, 2020 <br />Ms. Linda Moore, Recreation Manager, provided updated information on the work done at the <br />"Sculpture House". She informed the board the flooring at the Recreation Center was complete, <br />as well as the resurfacing of the basketball court at Plumosa Park. <br />b) Events Update <br />Ms. Moore reviewed events for the months of March and April which included Art and Music <br />and Food Truck Bazaar, Spring Jazz and Art Festival, Folk Festival, and Earth Fest. Arts and <br />culture events were "Tribute to the Masters: Gone but Not Forgotten", "Color and Contrast" by <br />the Women's Art Group, and "Experience Contemporary". Ms. Moore also announced the <br />American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) Tax -Aide program and the 14th annual CERA <br />Health Fair, both of which would take place at the Recreation Center. <br />c) Update on Parks Bond Referendum 2020 <br />Ms. Moore announced that a video was now available on the GoParks2020.com website. <br />Additional information followed. Ms. Moore also provided the open house meetings schedule <br />and indicated Dr. Kelly Brock, Deputy Public Works Director/City Engineer, would be present at <br />the meetings to answer questions. Informational materials were available. <br />6. Board Member Reports: <br />Board Member LeAnn Nash thought the referendum website was well done and user-friendly. <br />She also reflected positively on her experience volunteering at the "Sculpture House" work day. <br />Board Member Dana Callan said he was looking forward to upcoming events. <br />Board Member Katy Farmer stated she was looking forward to attending the upcoming <br />reception for the Women's Art Group show, "Color and Contrast". She also reiterated her <br />appreciation for the student art show recently held at the Art House. <br />Board Member Courtney Icenhower expressed her excitement for the upcoming Folk Festival <br />and informed the board of Friends of the Park's new photobooth that would be at upcoming <br />events. <br />Chairman Melissa Holmes inquired about the City's response to questions about the <br />referendum posted on the City's Facebook page. She was also looking forward to upcoming <br />events. <br />7. Audience Participation <br />
