RESOLUTION 21-3266 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA ADOPTING THE TENTATIVE BUDGET <br />FOR THE CITY OF CASSLEBERRY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR <br />COMMENCING ON OCTOBER 1, 2021 AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER <br />30, 2022; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry must provide public notice <br />of and hold a public hearing on the tentative budget pursuant to Florida Truth in Millage (TRIM) <br />statute; and <br />WHEREAS, the public notice for the public hearing for the tentative budget was <br />provided to all taxpayers of the City of Casselberry by the Seminole County Property Appraiser <br />in their TRIM notice which was mailed out in August 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry desires to adopt the <br />tentative budget; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry deems that this Resolution <br />is in the best interest of the public health, safety, welfare and well-being of the citizens of <br />Casselberry. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. Tentative Budget. The City Commission hereby adopts its tentative <br />budget for the Fiscal Year commencing October 1, 2021 and ending September 30, 2022, as <br />presented at its regularly scheduled Public Hearing assembled on the date of this Resolution, <br />with all amendments, if any, adopted at that meeting. <br />SECTION II. Proposed Expenditures. The proposed expenditures in the tentative <br />budget total $79,313,102. The expenditures are as follows: General Fund - $21,057,484, Other <br />Governmental Funds - $33,569,015, Enterprise Funds - $24,686,603. The budget is based upon <br />gross taxable value of real and personal property of $1,822,310,768. <br />SECTION III. Public Notice. In accordance with the TRIM requirements (F.S. <br />200.065), within fifteen (15) days of the date of this Resolution, the City Clerk shall publish a <br />Budget Summary in a newspaper of general circulation. The public hearing for the adoption of <br />the final millage rate and the final budget will not occur less than two (2) days or more than five <br />(5) days after the date the advertisement is first published. <br />SECTION IV. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />
