Resolution 14-2667 — Supplemental Agreement #12 to the Continuing Professional <br />Development Management Services Contract with Associated Consulting <br />International, Inc. to Provide Design and Engineering Services and Related Budget <br />Amendment #15-007 <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 14-2667 by title as follows: <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA APPROVING AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SUPPLELMENTAL AGREEMENT #12 TO THE <br />CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT SERVICES CONTRACT WITH ASSOCIATED <br />CONSULTING INTERNATIONAL, INC. TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL PLANNING AND <br />ENGINEERING SERVICES TO FURTHER DEVELOP THE CITY CENTER PROPERTIES; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: City Manager Randy Newlon gave a brief overview of Resolution 14-2667, explaining <br />again that the City had reached agreements with both developers (Casto and Integra) on the City Center project <br />on September 30, 2014. He explained further that within those agreements the City had agreed to complete <br />certain items, including planning and engineering of the realignment of Triplet Lake Drive and the partial <br />demolition and restoration of the Public Works building to accommodate completion of the residential parcel <br />of the development. He added that the City had also agreed to do site work on the 15 -acre parcel to remediate <br />the muck issue on the property, in addition to establishing a master stormwater system, distributing utilities to <br />the parcel, and extending Lake Concord Park. He stated that the entire comprehensive project would be <br />coordinated through Associated Consulting International (ACi), the City's architectural and development <br />consultants, who would be utilizing various subcontractors for completion of the work. He noted that the <br />entire award would amount to approximately $591,000. He advised that Mr. Larry Adams and Mr. Randall <br />Glidden of ACi were both present to answer any questions the Commission may have. <br />Audience Participation: The following individual calve forward to address Resolution 14-2667 <br />Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, expressed concern about what he perceived <br />to be an excessive amount of money being proposed for the planning and engineering <br />services, and also about the condition of the soil on the site relating to what type of structures <br />could be built on the site. <br />No one else came forward. <br />Budget Impact: There are increases to accounts in the Local Option Gas Tax Fund, Utility Fund, <br />Stormwater Fund, Recreation Escrow Fund, General Fund and City Center Capital Improvement Fund as <br />reflected in Budget Amendment # 15-007. <br />BA #15-007 <br />Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for architectural and <br />
