RESOLUTION 21-3233 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING A VACANT LAND CONTRACT <br />FOR SALE AND PURCHASE BETWEEN TALIA ALSAWAH AND THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 176 <br />SOUTH WINTER PARK DRIVE, PARCEL ID #16-21-30-502-0000-0140, <br />FOR THE QUEENS MIRROR NUTRIENT REDUCTION FACILITY <br />PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, as part of its adopted Stormwater and Lakes Management Master Plan the <br />City of Casselberry has identified the need for project PW 1706 Queens Mirror Nutrient Reduction <br />Facility in order to reduce excess nutrient loads to Queens Mirror Lake and downstream <br />waterbodies; and <br />WHEREAS, the City, in part due to regulatory requirements of the St. Johns River Water <br />Management District, has identified the need to purchase vacant land to facilitate construction and <br />operation of aforesaid project; and <br />WHEREAS, the aforesaid vacant land has Parcel ID #16-21-30-502-0000-0140 and is <br />described as Lots 14 and 15, Queen's Mirror Addition, according to the plat thereof as recorded in <br />Plat Book 8, Page 33 of the Public Records of Seminole County, Florida, less that part conveyed to <br />the City of Casselberry by Warranty Deed recorded in Official Records Book 3202, Page 884, <br />Public Records of Seminole County; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has negotiated with the current owner of the aforesaid vacant land <br />and settled on a mutually agreeable price; and <br />WHEREAS, the current owner of the aforesaid vacant land has executed a Vacant Land <br />Contract for Sale and Purchase reflective of the agreed upon price; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the Vacant Land Contract for Sale and Purchase and <br />find it acceptable to meet the needs of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The purchase of land, otherwise known as Parcel ID #16-21-30-502-0000- <br />0140 in the Seminole County Tax Rolls, for $180,000.00 plus closing costs is hereby approved. <br />SECTION II. The Vacant Land Contract for Sale and Purchase, attached herewith, is <br />hereby approved and the City Commission authorizes the Mayor to execute said document(s) on <br />behalf of the City Commission. <br />
