CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />CITY TREE ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />(CTAC) <br />The City of Casselberry City Tree Advisory Committee held a meeting on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at <br />4:30 P.M. in the Casselberry City Hall, Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. <br />Members present: <br />Kelly Brock <br />Dean Fathelbab <br />Chuck Smith <br />Mark Gisclar <br />James Witherspoon — new citizen member <br />Members absent: <br />Jane Dai <br />Emily Hanna <br />Steve Spencer <br />First Item of Business: Call to Order/Roll Call. <br />The meeting was called to order by Mr. Fathelbab at 4:33 p.m. Roll was called; a quorum was present. <br />Second Item of Business: New Committee Member <br />Mr. James Witherspoon introduced himself to the committee as a new resident member, Mr. Witherspoon <br />was appointed by the City Manager. Mr. Witherspoon continued with a brief background summary of himself. The <br />committee welcomed Mr. Witherspoon. <br />Third Item of Business: Adopt -A -Tree Application Review. <br />Mr. Fathelbab informed the committee that 15 applications had been received during the submittal period. <br />The Committee began its review of each application. One application included a home located outside of city limits. <br />This application was disqualified from review. One by one the committee reviewed each application. Another <br />application was disqualified because the required planting distances could not be maintained to support the long term <br />viability of the awarded tree. The Committee made motions to approve some applications as proposed and others <br />with conditions. Mr. Fathelbab will follow up with program applicants accordingly and report back to Committee via <br />email. <br />
