CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />CITY TREE ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />(CTAC) <br />The City of Casselberry City Tree Advisory Committee held a meeting on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at <br />5:00 P.M. in the Casselberry City Hall, Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. <br />Members present: <br />Kelly Brock <br />Dean Fathelbab <br />Steve Spencer <br />Chuck Smith <br />Emily Hanna <br />Dave Pell <br />Members absent: <br />Mark Gisclar <br />First Item of Business: Call to Order/Roll Call. <br />The meeting was called to order by Mr. Fathelbab at 5:06 p.m. Roll was called; a quorum was present. <br />Second Item of Business: Green -Up Casselberry. <br />Mr. Brock began a discussion about the Green -Up Casselberry Program including 2017 achievements, <br />upcoming projects and events. <br />Third Item of Business: Anticipated Tree Ordinance Changes. <br />Mr. Fathelbab began a discussion informing members about anticipated tree ordinance changes that the <br />planning department is recommending to the City Commission for approval. Included in the ordinance, is the ability <br />for the CTAC to create a city-wide residential tree planting program, otherwise known as the adopt -a -tree program. <br />Fourth Item of Business: Draft of Residential Tree Planting Program. <br />The Committee began discussion about the framework of the residential tree planting program, known as <br />the adopt -a -tree. Mr. Fathelbab presented a draft application including proposed tree species, planting requirements, <br />and other program terms and conditions. The Committee discussed the tree species listed in the application as well <br />as plant spacing requirements and the importance of planting large trees to achieve the program's goals. Further <br />discussion ensued about other program and application details <br />Emily Hanna arrived at 5:50pm. <br />
