CITY OF CASSELBERRY CITY TREE ADVISORY COMMITTEE (CTAC) The City of Casselberry City Tree Advisory Committee held a meeting on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at 5:00 P.M. in the Casselberry City Hall, Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. Members present: Kelly Brock Dean Fathelbab Steve Spencer Chuck Smith Emily Hanna Dave Pell Members absent: Mark Gisclar First Item of Business: Call to Order/Roll Call. The meeting was called to order by Mr. Fathelbab at 5:06 p.m. Roll was called; a quorum was present. Second Item of Business: Green -Up Casselberry. Mr. Brock began a discussion about the Green -Up Casselberry Program including 2017 achievements, upcoming projects and events. Third Item of Business: Anticipated Tree Ordinance Changes. Mr. Fathelbab began a discussion informing members about anticipated tree ordinance changes that the planning department is recommending to the City Commission for approval. Included in the ordinance, is the ability for the CTAC to create a city-wide residential tree planting program, otherwise known as the adopt -a -tree program. Fourth Item of Business: Draft of Residential Tree Planting Program. The Committee began discussion about the framework of the residential tree planting program, known as the adopt -a -tree. Mr. Fathelbab presented a draft application including proposed tree species, planting requirements, and other program terms and conditions. The Committee discussed the tree species listed in the application as well as plant spacing requirements and the importance of planting large trees to achieve the program's goals. Further discussion ensued about other program and application details Emily Hanna arrived at 5:50pm.
