CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />CITY TREE ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />(CTAC) <br />The City of Casselberry City Tree Advisory Committee held a meeting on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at <br />4:30 P.M. in the Casselberry City Hall, Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. <br />Members present: <br />Kelly Brock <br />Jane Dai <br />Dean Fathelbab <br />Chuck Smith <br />Emily Hanna <br />Mark Gisclar <br />Martin Butcher <br />Steve Spencer <br />Members absent: <br />First Item of Business: Call to Order/Roll Call. <br />The meeting was called to order by Mr. Fathelbab at 4:35 p.m. Roll was called; a quorum was present. <br />Second Item of Business: Tree City USA and Growth Award Strategies. <br />Mr. Brock began discussion about Tree City USA November recertification deadline, noting that Ms. Dai has <br />begun the process. Growth award strategies will continue to be examined by the CTAC. <br />Third Item of Business: Adopt -A -Tree Program. <br />Mr. Fathelbab presented an updated draft of the adopt -a -tree application for the CTAC's consideration. The <br />Committee voted to approve the final tree selection list. The committee voted to establish general planting <br />requirements for all trees. The committee discussed opening the application to residents in 2019 on April 1St through <br />July 15t.The committee moved to update the adopt -a -tree application with the approved changes. <br />Ms. Hanna began a discussion about how to market and promote the program. Tabling at city events, <br />inclusion in the utility bill, a write-up in the city quarterly newsletter were all discussed as potential opportunities. <br />Fourth Item of Business: Other Business. <br />
