Supervisor Campbell, advised that the above cases were found to be in compliance by the dates previously set by the
Special Magistrate. There was no action taken.
REDUCTION REQUEST
CE -18-000244 3352 S HWY 17/92
• Window signs, ULDR Section 3-16.3.C.3.b
Supervisor Campbell, advised that there was no one present to speak to this case. The Special Magistrate asked is this
should be tabled. Supervisor Campbell advised that the property owner met with planning on September 12, 2019, and
what was requested, per the Community Development Director, Chris Bowley for the reduction to be further reduced to
$500.
Officer Alcuri advised that the property owner's request was to have a reduction to $500, and the City concurs with the
request. The Special Magistrate advised that she would rather have the requestor present for the request, but read the
written request in their absence.
The Special Magistrate accepted the written application that was notarized as a sworn statement from the applicant. It was
asked of staff for a description of what the violation was. Supervisor Campbell stated it was for excessive window signage
by a former tenant, and the owner now will be demolishing the property and putting something else there. The property
was in violation for 378 days, the property owner is now asking for a reduction from $18,900 to $500.
The Special Magistrate stated her inclination was not to approve a reduction to $500 for a violation that lasted as long as
it did, and where the applicant did not attend the hearing. The lien was reduced to $1,000, and will now be heard by the
City Commission for final approval.
OTHER BUSINESS
There was no other business.
ADJOURNMENT OF MEETING
The Special Magistrate adjourned the meeting at 8:09 pm
Date:
Date:
71 Page
e
