RESOLUTION 20-3198 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, IN RECOGNITION OF DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE TO THE CITIZENS OF <br />CASSELBERRY, SEMINOLE COUNTY AND THE ENTIRE CENTRAL FLORIDA <br />COMMUNITY BY MAYOR/COMMISSIONER CHARLENE GLANCY. <br />WHEREAS, CHARLENE GLANCY has honorably served the City of Casselberry and its citizens as <br />Mayor/Commissioner for twelve consecutive years, having first been elected in August 2008 to Commission Seat No. <br />5, re-elected in 2012 for a second term, and re-elected in 2016 for a third and final term; and <br />WHEREAS, CHARLENE GLANCY, during her tenure, has also served as a Board Member of the <br />Municipal Advisory Committee for MetroPlan Orlando since 2008, as a Board Member of Leadership Seminole, as <br />Chair of the Mayor/Managers Group of Seminole County, and, prior to her role as Mayor/Commissioner, on the City's <br />Code Enforcement Board and Charter Review Committee; and <br />WHEREAS, CHARLENE GLANCY has carried out the duties and responsibilities of the Mayor of the City <br />of Casselberry for the past twelve years in an exemplary manner with unwavering devotion to the welfare of the <br />citizens of Casselberry, Seminole County and the entire Central Florida community and proved to be a valuable asset <br />to the governing body of the City of Casselberry through many diverse and complex issues which have come before <br />the Commission during her tenure; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the feeling and sincere desire of the City of Casselberry, Florida, through its duly elected <br />officials and on behalf of its citizens, to recognize the service and dedication of MAYOR/COMMISSIONER <br />CHARLENE GLANCY. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, that the sincere commendation and appreciation of the City Commission, both for <br />itself and on behalf of the citizens of the City of Casselberry, Florida, be and the same are hereby expressed to <br />MAYOR/COMMISSIONER CHARLENE GLANCY, for her dedicated service on the Commission; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the permanent records of the City of <br />Casselberry and the original thereof delivered to CHARLENE GLANCY at an appropriate time established to <br />recognize this service to the City of Casselberry and its citizens. <br />ATTES I : <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of September, A.D., 2020. <br />09761�4 j <br />, vy"� �, <br />Donna G.
